What’s The Story!

With 20+ years of live shows under their belts, What’s The Story formed in the summer of 2023 and set about re creating the soundtrack that defined a generation. What’s The Story sold out launch shows in their home town with a setlist covering the whole Oasis catalogue – all of the radio hits and infamous B sides featuring vocal harmonies performed by Liam & Noel faithful to the originals. Just like the real thing, What’s The Story band members are real brothers with all the chemistry but usually without the squabbles.

Ben Adams

Ben’s passion for performing began during his school years, where he trained under Maria Brannelly and Samantha Gorton.

Professionally, Ben has performed in theatres and at major corporate events across the UK and Europe. He works as a live vocalist with companies such as MTJ Productions, House of Mash UK, and The Brunch Club Ltd, bringing energy and versatility to every stage.

Currently, Ben is rehearsing for the upcoming production of Avenue Q—the hilarious, adult comedy musical inspired by Sesame Street—which opens at the Greig Hall this July.

Ben is excited to be part of Sounds In The Grounds and can’t wait to entertain you all with a vibrant mix of genres and some show-stopping classics!

Otis Irie

Otis is a talented singer, songwriter, and producer hailing from Birmingham. Formerly the charismatic frontman of the renowned Global Reggae Band,

Otis Irie brings his signature energy, soulful voice, and authentic sound to every stage. This summer, he’ll be bringing the very best of reggae to Sounds in the Grounds—so get ready for feel-good vibes, conscious lyrics, and pure IRIE energy.

Emma Skipp Duo

Fronted by the charismatic Emma Skipp – described by BBC Radio 1’s Jo Whiley as “a one-woman gospel choir” – the band features top-tier professional musicians.

Emma is known for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. She has performed with The Enemy and Ocean Colour Scene, supported Kasabian and Oasis at major venues across the UK, and appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, Radio 1’s Live Lounge, and The Album Chart Show.

Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Andy Flynn also plays bass and guitar for PP Arnold and Steve Cradock, with appearances on BBC TV and Later… with Jools Holland.

Kat Slowik

Katarzyna Slowik, known artistically as Kat Slowik, is a passionate vocalist whose life has always been deeply intertwined with music. As the lead singer of the rock band The Mojo City Rebels and the creative force behind her own solo project, Kat lives and breathes music every day.

Her biggest goal is to live her passion fully each day, making music a full-time journey. What moves her most is witnessing how, during her performances, people can drift away from the routines of everyday life, even if only for a moment. That connection, that shared escape, is pure magic to her.

Ruby Clarke

Ruby Clarke is a dynamic vocalist and vocal coach who has captivated audiences both on television and on stage. She has performed in front of millions on Britain’s Got Talent, This Morning, and The One Show. Ruby has appeared in several national theatre tours, showcasing her versatility and passion for performance. With a powerful voice and engaging stage presence, she continues to pursue her love of music, connecting with fans through every performance.

CiCi Howells
